Glass is made by the melting of the different following glazed components:
melted silica, sodium and stabilizing agent as the lime.
The melting process of the aforementioned components is done into an oven.
Then follows the refining process which converts the melting; to a certain melting temperature point, to glass pastry.
This paste will take the shape of the needed glassware.
Glassware (hollow and bottles) is therefore obtained through the following processes as : The pressing process, the pressing-blowing process and the molding process.

The pressing process
The drop of paste is put into the mold that has been, previously, fit up on the pressing machine.
The punch go into the mold and the glass paste is spread on the surface and the item is shaped.
After removal from the mold, the item goes through the furnace to be brightened and have a smooth aspect.
Pressing – blowing process
After the rough model of the pressed paste, the item is molded. The rough model is then blown into a finisher mold and the item takes its final shape.
At the end of each pressing/pressing-blowing process all the glass items go through the oven to be annealed and get rid of the breaking strain so that, we finally have the needed solidity and thermic toughness of the glass.
Decoration
The decoration is essentially made by the silk screen printing method.
It is a swift and simple process.
It has been used, for a long time, in the cottage industry. Many craftsmen work fervently the glassware.
Various materials may be printed on the glassware as metals (gold, plate, silver…), enamels (colouring, dye), frosted, glazed, etc.
The material taking the exact shape of the decoration is immediately fixed on the glass item and put into the oven to be annealed.
